It was a great pleasure to meet him and listen to his music . I showed him the painting I did about Michel a year ago and he liked it 🙂

I recently had the pleasure to meet Mr Christian Scott: an amazing trumpet player . I love his work since I discovered him with Marcus Miller on the “Tutu Revisited Tour”. That guy is incredibly gifted , generous and cool. He made me the honor to sign a painting I did 2 years ago .Thanks Christian 🙂

Reggie & The Gator
This is the latest painting, depicting the bass player Reggie Washington, playing (dangerously) next to his favorite animal: the alligator.
It was fun to paint this canvas because I rarely paint animals. More,Reggie is a fantastic musician, close to its public and very friendly. His latest album “Freedom” is a pure delight groove and talent!

MAKING A PICTURE FOR THE “AMERICANS IN PARIS” EXHIBIT WITH TAKE 6
We recently had the honor to spend some times with the US vocal band TAKE6 to make a picture for the upcoming exhibition at Val DE Reuil (27100 FRANCE). Those artists were so kind and patient with us and played totally the game to make a funny picture in front of the venue of the NEW MORNING. Thanks so much to them and their tour manager Mr Steve Carmack .

I recently had the chance to see the new Marcus Miller show for his latest album “Renaissance”. It was stunning! I had to put on a canvas all the energy and soul that irradiated from stage that day. So here’s a tribute painting to that great new band and to that great new album of Mr Marcus Miller…They’ll be touring in Europe and in France next fall: Don’t miss them!!!

Meeting with Poogie Bell at New Morning with Reggie Washington trio.

New “BLACK NOTES” Ausstellung
As I mentioned a month ago, the “Black Notes” exhibition is gonna take place from May 2nd until June 30th in Maisons-Alfort. The Music Space team of the médiathèque asked me to extend the “March in Jazz”painting exhibit 2 months more. So here it is, I hope You’ll have the opportunity to come to that show where there will be some new paintings exhibited 😉

Oriental Trumpet…
Hier ist mein neuestes Gemälde. A portrait of the french Trumpet player Ibrahim Maalouf. He plays with a special trumpet with a fourth added valve that allows him to have an oriental sound. That special Trumpet was created by his father Nassim Maalouf in the 60’s. He was born in Lebanon and enjoy our ears with his original music mixing Oriental Sounds with Funk and Jazz!
