Ibrahim Maalouf-2
Hier ist ein Porträt des französisch-libanesischen Trompeters Ibrahim Maalouf, der in der Luft spielt. Dies ist das zweite Porträt, das ich von diesem beeindruckenden Musiker gemalt habe. Dieses Gemälde wird auf dem Festival de Jazz ausgestellt 2024 de Longjumeau im Mai 2024.
Marcus Miller Thunder-2
Dies ist eine Überarbeitung von a “Marcus Millers Thunder-Gemälde” ursprünglich erstellt in 2003 als Teil einer Tryptik, die dem gewidmet ist “SMV” Basstrio (Stanley Clarke , Marcus Miller , Victor Wooten). Das Original wurde Marcus Miller in angeboten 2009, und dieses wird das Tryptic an der Wand von Victor Wootens Center for Music and Nature in Tennessee vervollständigen.

Here’s a double portrait of the two famous rappers Tupac Shakur & Notorisch groß (friends then enemies) who took this musical genre to an unprecedented level in the 90s. This painting was created for the Salon des Arts 2023 in Longjumeau, the theme of which was Hip Hop.
B BOY Jr in Da Sky
Here’s a portrait of the Franco-Congolese Hip Hop dancer Junior Bosila Banya, who has had an extraordinary career. This portrait was created with two other paintings for the Salon des Arts 2023 in Longjumeau, the theme of which was Hip Hop.
BASQUIAT
Here’s a double portrait of Jean-Michel Basquiat, with his outer shell on one side and a piece from one of his works, The King”, on the other, showing a figure with the face of an African mask, adorned with the famous crown symbolizing success. This portrait is one of three canvases created for the Salon des Arts 2023 in Longjumeau, the theme of which was Hip Hop.

TRIBUTE TO ROY HARGROVE
Here’s my latest painting. A tribute to the great Roy Hargrove. His passing will leave a huge hole in the jazz world. He was my fav trumpet player since Miles Davis. I made that painting using pictures I took of him during his last gig at New Morning (Paris) in October 2018. He used to sit sometimetimes in a corner in the shadow looking to his partners playing their parts . He just adds some right notes when he felt the need during those moments… You’ll be missed Roy…I hope you’re enjoying heaven and having fun there 🙂 (Clic on the pic to enlarge it )
