Tribute to Francis Dreyfus
Here’s my latest artwork. A tribute painting to Mr Francis Dreyfus who passed away in 2010.He was a great jazz music producer who created the Dreyfus Jazz label in 90’s and promoted many great jazz musicians. He’s missed a lot and I wanted to pay a tribute to his love of Jazz music and his work throughout all this years….(Click on the picture to enlarge it)
MARS EN JAZZ EXHIBIT!
I’m proud to announce , I will show 40 paintings during March 2012 at the “Mars En Jazz” event in Maisons Alfort, my town. That exhibit will take place from March 6th to March 31st 2012 at the Médiathèque André Malraux, 4 rue Albert Camus 94700 MAisons-Alfort, phone :01.43.76.30.77
My paintings will be shown with some pictures of my friend the french photographer an actor Jean Claude Bourbault and with some collector posters of comics and music brought by Jean Claude Slagmulder
There will be many others activities around Jazz during March at the médiathèque as well as gigs, conférences and there will be a show of Terez Montcalm with her band on March 17th at the “Théatre Debussy”

Jazz from Quebec
Here’s my latest release. A portrait of the jazz singer Terez Montalm. She has a special voice and great songs. She ‘s playing a beautiful Jazz Guitar especially designed for her by Courcelles guitars. She’ll have a show in my town, Maisons-Alfort, in March 2012 🙂

Here’s the latest artwork : A portrait of the inventor of the “slap technique” on the electric bass, Mr Larry Graham! I recently saw him on stage and he was amazing : Jumping, screaming and electrifying the audience like a young rock star! An incredible musician and such a nice person 🙂

This is a special artwork ,I’ve just finished for an exhibition that will occur in March 2012 in my town , Maisons-Alfort.

This exhibit is called “MARS EN JAZZ” and I wanted to do a Miles Davis painting as a tribute to him and to the great artist Mati Klarwein who painted the “Bitches Brew” LP cover.

That LP is known as the great entrance of Miles Davis in jazz fusion, using electric instruments for his music. One of my favourite album and a real experience to listen to. (I’ve listen to it during all my painting work)

Here’s the latest artwork. A portrait of Mr Lee Ritenour, a great guitar player of funk, jazz, rock and brazilian music. That painting is a blink of an eye to a CD cover of his album “Earth Run” 25 years later 🙂
