Maisons-Alfort’s art exhibit city painting prize
I’m proud to announce that this year one of my artworks won the City Prize at the annual Maisons-Alfort’s art exhibit. That “Monk” painting was made earlier in 2016 and had the luck to be appreciate by the jury ! Cool 🙂

Here is a tribute painting to the late great Al Jarreau my fav singer who left us last February…A true gentleman and a wonderfull human being who will be missed… This painting depict him among the stars bringing a nice Mornin’ on earth like in his famous song Mornin’ (click on the pic to enlarge it).

Last july I had the honor to meet Mr Randy Weston the fantastic piano player . He kindly posed with his painting and gave me a warm welcome before his beautiful show at New Morning.
Meeting with the Elements !
Last July I had the absolute honor to meet the founder members of Earth Wind & Fire : Verdine White, Ralph Johnson and Philip Bailey backstage their Olympia hall show . What a memory ! All the band and staff gave me a warm welcome . They signed the tribute painting I made a few month ago when the band founder Mr Maurice White passed away…Here is a pic of that meeting and the every kind message Verdine white left on his facebook page the day after… It was incredible to meet those guys I like since so much time  !

Strasbourg Saint Denis !
Here’s a painting of Roy Hargrove ‘s quintet. I wanted to do something about those great musicians I’ve seen a lot on stage :Sullivan Fortner (Piano) , Justin Robinson (Sax), Ameen Saleem (Bass) , Quincy Philips (Drums) and of course Roy Hargrove, the amazing trumpet player : one of my favourite who wrote a great piece of music about a place we know very well in Paris : “Strasbourg Saint Denis” (clic on the pic to enlarge it)

JazzPics Exhibition
I will have a new exhibition with my friend, the jazz stage photographer Paul Charbit, at Théâtre Claude Debussy in Maisons-Alfort from September 28th to October 17th. Vernissage will take place  on October 1st et Théâtre Debussy 6.30 pm.
