Ecco un ritratto del trombettista franco-libanese Ibrahim Maalouf che suona a mezz'aria. Questo è il secondo ritratto che dipingo di questo formidabile musicista. Questo dipinto sarà esposto al Festival de Jazz 2024 di Longjumeau nel mese di maggio 2024.
Marcus Miller Tuono-2
Questa è una rielaborazione di a “Il dipinto Thunder di Marcus Miller” originariamente creato in 2003 come parte di un trittico dedicato al “SMV” trio di bassi (Stanley Clarke , Marcus Miller , Victor Wooten). L'originale è stato offerto a Marcus Miller nel 2009, e questo completerà il trittico sul muro del Center for Music and Nature di Victor Wooten nel Tennessee.
Costa occidentale/costa orientale
Ecco un doppio ritratto dei due famosi rapper Tupac Shakur & Notorio Grande (amici e poi nemici) che hanno portato questo genere musicale ad un livello senza precedenti negli anni '90. Questo dipinto è stato creato per il Salon des Arts 2023 a Longjumeau, il cui tema era l'hip hop.
B BOY Jr in Da Sky
Ecco un ritratto del ballerino hip hop franco-congolese Junior Bosila Banya, che ha avuto una carriera straordinaria. Questo ritratto è stato creato con altri due dipinti per il Salon des Arts 2023 a Longjumeau, il cui tema era l'hip hop.
BASQUIAT
Ecco un doppio ritratto di Jean-Michel Basquiat, con il suo guscio esterno su un lato e un pezzo di una delle sue opere, Il re”, dall'altra, raffigurante una figura con il volto di una maschera africana, adornato con la famosa corona che simboleggia il successo. Questo ritratto è una delle tre tele create per il Salon des Arts 2023 a Longjumeau, il cui tema era l'hip hop.

TRIBUTE TO ROY HARGROVE
Here’s my latest painting. A tribute to the great Roy Hargrove. His passing will leave a huge hole in the jazz world. He was my fav trumpet player since Miles Davis. I made that painting using pictures I took of him during his last gig at New Morning (Paris) in October 2018. He used to sit sometimetimes in a corner in the shadow looking to his partners playing their parts . He just adds some right notes when he felt the need during those moments… You’ll be missed Roy…I hope you’re enjoying heaven and having fun there 🙂 (Clic on the pic to enlarge it )
