I recently had the great honor to meet Mr Hamad Jamal and his musicians Reginald Veal (Double Bass) Herlin Ryley (Drums) and Manolo Badrena (Percussions) . A great moment with these gentlemen after an amazing concert at ThĂ©atre de l’Odeon (Paris).

Here’s a portrait of the great french guitar player HervĂ© Samb who was born in Senegal . He just made his 2nd album as a leader “Time to Feel” which is a beauty. I was inspired by one of the tracks of the album called “Sama Yaye” (A tribute to his mother who passed away last year) to do that painting . Please check out HervĂ© Samb’s music You won’t regret it 🙂

Here’s my latest artwork inspired by Bob James and David Sanborn’s latest colaboration: A tribute album to Mr Dave Brubeck called “Quartette Humaine”. I’m very proud to have been asked by Reggie Washington to design the advert for his tribute to the amazing guitarist Jef Lee Johnson who passed away last year….The concert will take place October 26th 2013 at Blue Note NYC !

Here are some souvenirs pics from the exhibition at La Ferté-Sous-Jouarre during the jazz festival which featured Maceo Parker, Avishai Cohen and Richard Bona 🙂 The festival was an incredible event despite the horrible weather and I would like to thank the manager of the festival Laurent Bachelet and all the people who are involved in it : You all are great people with a true dedication to Art and Jazz music 🙂

I’ll have the pleasure to show my art at Samuel Becke’s library in La FertĂ©-sous-Jouarre (France) from May 14th to May 25th , 2013. This exhibitionwill  take place in parallel with the second edition of the Jazz Festival of the city. “Le Ferte Jazz” . The library is next to the main stage of the festival: A good reason to come fill your eyes with  some color before you go to feast your ears with the music of many great artists invited this year. I will be present during the day on May 18th and 19th to welcome you to the show 🙂

Here is a painting I made ​​after a tribute concert to Jef Lee Johnson I attended late February 2013. This tribute to the great guitarist Jef Lee Johnson who passed away on January 28th 2013, was made by Reggie Washington (bass), Jean-Paul Bourely (guitar) and Pat Dorcean (Drums) all 3 great friends of Jef. I recently had the pleasure to meet Mr Christian Scott: an amazing trumpet player . I love his work since I discovered him with Marcus Miller on the “Tutu Revisited Tour”. That guy is incredibly gifted , generous and cool. He made me the honor to sign a painting I did 2 years ago .Thanks Christian 🙂
