Cest au mois de Septembre 2013 quest sorti le CD du New Midnight Band “Evolutionary Minded” en Hommage Ă Gil Scott Heron. le groupe est venu jouer Ă Paris un concert qu'ils ont appelĂ© “The music of Gil Scott Heron Re-Visionned”. I was inspired by one of the tracks of the album called “Sama Yaye” (A tribute to his mother who passed away last year) pour rĂ©aliser cette peinture . Voici quelques photos souvenirs de l'exposition à La Ferté-sous-Jouarre pendant le festival de jazz avec les concerts de Maceo Parker, Avishai Cohen and Richard Bona 🙂 The festival was an incredible event despite the horrible weather and I would like to thank the manager of the festival Laurent Bachelet and all the people who are involved in it : You all are great people with a true dedication to Art and Jazz music 🙂

Cette exposition aura lieu en parallèle avec la deuxième Ă©dition du festival de Jazz de la ville. “Le Ferte Jazz” . The library is next to the main stage of the festival: Une bonne raison de venir remplir vos yeux de couleurs avant d'aller vous rĂ©galer les oreilles avec la musique de nombreux grands artistes invitĂ©s cette annĂ©e. I will be present during the day on May 18th and 19th to welcome you to the show 🙂

This tribute to the great guitarist Jef Lee Johnson who passed away on January 28th 2013, was made by Reggie Washington (bass), Jean-Paul Bourely (guitar) and Pat Dorcean (Drums) all 3 great friends of Jef.
