Voici un portrait du trompettiste franco-libanais Ibrahim Maalouf jouant dans les airs. C'est le deuxième portrait que je fais de ce formidable musicien. Ce tableau sera exposé au Festival de Jazz 2024 de Longjumeau in May 2024.
Marcus Miller Tonnerre-2
Il s'agit d'une refonte d'un “Le tableau Tonnerre de Marcus Miller” créé à l'origine en 2003 dans le cadre d'un tryptique dédié à “SMV” trio de basse (Stanley Clarke , Marcus Miller , Victor Wooten). L'original fut offert à Marcus Miller en 2009, et celui-ci complètera le tryptique sur le mur du Center for Music and Nature de Victor Wooten au Tennessee..
Côte Ouest/Côte Est
Voici un double portrait des deux célèbres rappeurs Tupac Shakur & Célèbre grand (amis puis ennemis) qui a porté ce genre musical à un niveau sans précédent dans les années 90. Ce tableau a été réalisé pour le Salon des Arts 2023 in Longjumeau, dont le thème était le Hip Hop.

Voici un portrait du danseur hip hop franco-congolais Junior Bosila Banya, qui a eu une carrière extraordinaire. Ce portrait a été réalisé avec deux autres tableaux pour le Salon des Arts 2023 in Longjumeau, dont le thème était le Hip Hop.

Here’s a double portrait of Jean-Michel Basquiat, with his outer shell on one side and a piece from one of his works, The King”, on the other, showing a figure with the face of an African mask, adorned with the famous crown symbolizing success. This portrait is one of three canvases created for the Salon des Arts 2023 in Longjumeau, the theme of which was Hip Hop.

TRIBUTE TO ROY HARGROVE
Voici ma dernière toile. A tribute to the great Roy Hargrove. His passing will leave a huge hole in the jazz world. He was my fav trumpet player since Miles Davis. I made that painting using pictures I took of him during his last gig at New Morning (Paris) in October 2018. He used to sit sometimetimes in a corner in the shadow looking to his partners playing their parts . He just adds some right notes when he felt the need during those moments… You’ll be missed Roy…I hope you’re enjoying heaven and having fun there 🙂 (Cliquez sur l'image pour l'agrandir )
